=About the Painting=
A modern reimagining of traditional Xieyi Chinese painting, one of the oldest painting techniques in the world. This technique is similar to watercolor but the pigments interact with the rice paper in a unique way to create shapes that are unable to be reproduced through other media. This work used high quality pigments and raw rice paper. The pigments were derived from minerals and plants and will last for centuries without fading. The rice paper is mounted to a backer easy handling.

The red square character stamps on the work are traditional for this type of painting. They represent the artist's signature and their thoughts about the work.

My work is a simple and loving portrayal of the world as seen from the eyes of children. Their innocence is naive but full of affection for everything around them. A great way to add warmth and love to your home.
